ENGLISH: A German team of developers and hardware specialists manufactures the first gateways (Sensoco® Swarm Gateway) for the global Swarm satellite network, Starlink’s little sister.
Where no IoT or cellular network is available, cutting-edge nanosatellite technology enables an IoT network at the push of a button. Using state-of-the-art nano-satellites in low-Earth orbit, the Swarm network enables high-speed transmission that was not possible or very costly via satellite in the past.
Swarm provides low bandwidth satellite connectivity for under 10€/month via extremely small satellites (11 cm x 11 cm x 2.8 cm) in low orbit. The Swarm network covers every point on the planet and enables low-cost communication of numerous IoT devices at any location via the gateway, especially in the remote regions of our planet.
The Sensoco® Swarm Gateway was developed in Germany (North Rhine-Westphalia) by a specialized team, and two variants have been built in NRW since 2022. The growing demand comes from a wide range of industries: Agriculture, Forestry, Maritime Sector, Energy Utilities, Transportation and Logistics, Circular Economy.

GERMAN: Ein deutsches Team von Entwicklern und Hardware-Spezialisten fertigt die ersten Gateways (Sensoco® Swarm Gateway) für das globale Schwarm-Satellitennetzwerk, der kleinen Schwester von Starlink.
Überall wo kein IoT-Netzwerk zur Verfügung steht, wird mittels modernster Technologie ein Netzwerk nahezu per Knopfdruck aktiviert. Mit hochmodernen Nano-Satelliten in einer erdnahen Umlaufbahn ermöglicht das Swarm-Netzwerk eine schnelle Übertragung, die in der Vergangenheit über Satellit so nicht möglich oder sehr kostspielig war.
Swarm bietet Satelliten-Konnektivität mit geringer Bandbreite für unter 10€/Monat via extrem kleinen Satelliten (11 cm x 11 cm x 2,8 cm) in einer niedrigen Umlaufbahn. Das Schwarm-Netzwerk deckt jeden Punkt der Erde ab und ermöglicht über das Gateway die kostengünstige Kommunikation zahlreicher IoT-Geräte an jedem Ort, vor allem in den abgelegenen Regionen der Erde.
Das Sensoco® Swarm Gateway wurde in Deutschland (Nordrhein-Westfalen) von einem Spezialteam entwickelt und wird seit 2022 in zwei Varianten in NRW gebaut. Die wachsende Nachfrage kommt aus den unterschiedlichsten Industrien: Landwirtschaft, Forstwirtschaft, Maritimer Sektor, Energieversorger, Transport und Logistik, Kreislaufwirtschaft.
