What are the use cases?

  • Redundancy and Security

Sensoco's Swarm Gateway offers very cost-effective, global data traffic via satellite for redundant monitoring of machines, IoT assets and plants. This significantly improves monitoring, automates reporting and reduces downtime.

  • Environmental Parameter Monitoring

Sensoco Swarm Gateways offer cost-efficient monitoring of various environmental parameters. The gateways are connected to a variety of sensors and actuators via cable or industrial wireless connectivity. This reduces travel costs, lowers CO2 emissions, monitors outdoor facilities and helps to partially prevent disasters caused by environmental influences and minimize damage.

  • Fleet Monitoring and Management

Sensoco Swarm Gateways are also suitable for use on vehicles at speeds of over 100 km/h. This means that vehicles, trains and ships can be effectively retrofitted with satellite connectivity. This leads to increased personal safety, simplifies fleet monitoring and the monitoring of deliveries, in some cases considerably.

  • Industrial Plant Monitoring

Industrial plants can now be monitored with Sensoco Swarm Gateways and associated sensors, even in areas that are difficult to access and remote. If mobile networks fail or there is a partial power cut, monitoring is still possible.

How does it work?

Monthly Data Transfer

Up to 750 data packets of 192 bytes

Latency

Less than 60 minutes

M2M/IoT satellite gateways for global operation. Made in Germany.

Sensoco Swarm Gateways automatically connect to the Swarm Nano satellites. The data collected by the gateway is sent to the satellites and can also be received by satellites. No additional equipment is required for a reliable connection; the supplied antennas for M2M/IoT, satellites and GPS are sufficient.
Your data is received securely and forwarded to your IT business systems via REST API. The Swarm data service manages your gateway data and your annual Swarm connection data and billing.

Careful component selection and manufacturing processes ensure maximum reliability and service. The industrial interfaces are built for plug and play operation and aluminium casings ensure that our gateways are stable for use in harsh outdoor environments.
The Integrated wireless modules are from certified, top-notch manufacturers.
